VETERAN’S DAY

by Rosalie Hernandez I honor of our men and women who have served our country to guarantee and insure our freedom the Eagle Scouts from all eight towns of New Grace organized a patriotic salute to our veterans at the American Legion Hall #764 in Rosemeade.  Eagle Scouts Lawrence Hardy from Lindley and Robert Marcel from Saint Georgina co-chaired the event.  ROTC students from New Grace High School served as Honor Guard and the Acadia High School band provided the music saluting all branches of the armed forces.  Hollis Peterson, a junior at Herrick Bay Academy performed our national...

CHANGES COMING TO ST GEORGINA

The twelve block area of St Georgina  has been vacant since  MacDouglas Fertilizer Manufacturing closed their doors in 2012 and a high crime zone according to New Grace Sheriff  Ozell ‘Ozzie’ Keith. It was announced in January that the firms of Litvinov and Rakovsky Construction and Galaxy Developers had successfully purchased the entire area.
